The Ceasefire Campaign began when 300,000 individuals from over 150 countries came together to demand a ceasefire in Lebanon. The campaign is a project of Res Publica, a global civic advocacy group and registered charitable organization based in New York City.

The latest campaign, "Talk to Iran," was launched today (October 18, 2006), with the sending out of an email alert to the Ceasefire Campaign email list and the unveiling of a revamped website. The new campaign is asking online citizens from around the world to urge the US government to enter open and direct talks with Iran about its nuclear program, a week after the alleged detonation of nuclear device by North Korea demonstrated that policies of isolation and threats of regime change will not prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. Over 8000 people have already participated in the first day of the campaign by sending a customizable message the White House asking for dialogue.

what all the fuss is really about

not da dumbed down masses 19.Oct.2006 12:39

check dis out..! Iran and Venezuela have been starting selling their oil in guess what currency, EUROS - no wonder da us / england and others international banking communities 'are up in horror' over the proposals.

Why is this important:

Everything in the west depends upon oil, 99% of most products have oil extracts in them.
Other dependent; world trade is built upon the us-dollar.

for instance:- if europeans had to buy for oil/gas in euros the dollar would lose its mytstic over night.
The US who are in dept to the tune of several trillion dollars to their fed-reserve (international bankers etc)
would have to pay up cash for all its products, ie; oil/gas in this case.

Iraq is an exception:- create a reason to invade, so they can re-appropiate that countrys oil reserves, build a
channel piping system to sifle the oil out - how they achieve this, create choas and wait for international community
to demand action, they step in and deliver order -in Iraqs case 'civil-war' (Hegalian dialetic, check dat out too).
Controlling only the parts f Iraq that have oil, allowing civil-war to reign while their cream-up.

Africa is the new oil-haven, Angola and western africa, check out all the company names, Shell chevron the list goes on.

Has not got nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with natural resources.

if info is requested on Iran and its new stock exhange in Iran, the bogus terror crusade, internationl bankers
just hit me up and i will forward links.
